PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bit device which can be configured in a compact size and is easily applicable without biting sediment.SOLUTION: A bit device of a shield machine includes: a substrate 24 fixed to a cutter head; and a bit body 22 supported on the substrate 24 via a rocking pin 23 in the radial direction of the cutter head. A rock-limiting mechanism 31 capable of making a bit body 22 rock within a prescribed range about the rocking pin 23 as a center is provided between a pin hole 30 formed in the bit body 22 and the rocking pin 23. A pin connection part consisting of the rock-limiting mechanism 31, the rocking pin 23, a boss hole 24C, and the pin hole 30 is made as a sealed structure.
