<p>The present invention relates to a method to control detection of the amount of residual urea in a selective catalyst reduction (SCR) system capable of improving marketability of a vehicle, and comprising: a warning step of warning insufficiency of the amount of residual urea when the amount of residual urea inside a urea tank is below a reference value; a consumption value calculating step of respectively calculating a urea consumption value according to an engine load condition of a vehicle, a weight/load condition of a vehicle, and a driving pattern of a vehicle when warning insufficiency of the amount of residual urea, and calculating the final urea consumption value in which a driving condition of the current vehicle is reflected by using the urea consumption value; and a driving distance calculating step of calculating the driving distance with respect to the amount of the residual urea through the final urea consumption value.</p> |
