<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor improvable in rigidity of the right/left ends of a riser, and steps for the passenger conveyor. <P>SOLUTION: Each of the steps endlessly connected and circulated between landing floors includes a riser 20; riser side end demarcations 21 arranged at the right/left ends of the riser; and a riser base to which the riser and the riser side end demarcations are mounted. The riser side end demarcations are provided with engaging parts 21A engaged with the right/left ends of the riser. When a pitch dimension between the cleats of the riser, and a pitch dimension from the cleat of the outermost side end of the riser to a cleat of the riser side end demarcation, are set to L1, and when a widthwise dimension from the cleat of the outermost side end of the riser to the right/left end of the riser is set to L2, a dimensional relationship of L2>L1 is established. The plate thickness of the riser base is thicker than that of the riser. Further, when a widthwise clearance between the right/left end of the riser and the riser side end demarcation is set to L3, and when a widthwise clearance between the right/left end of the riser base and the riser side end demarcation is set to L4, a dimensional relationship of L3>L4 is established. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
