<p>Provided is an air cooling type engine (115), comprising an engine body (140) composed of a crank case (141) having a shaft-supporting crankshaft (142), a cylinder block (143), and a cylinder head (147), a fan guard (161) which internally forms an air supply channel (162) by covering the periphery of the cylinder block (143), and a cooling fan (160) which inhales external air from the exterior of the fan guard (161) via the driving of the crankshaft (142) and supplies air to cylinder block (143) via the air supply channel (162).
