Disclosed is an air conditioner for a vehicle having an air conditioning mode to optimize airflow distribution of air discharged to each vent in order to improve comfort of vehicle occupants. The air conditioner for a vehicle has an air conditioning mode comprising: a vent mode to discharge air to only a face vent; a bi-level mode to discharge some of the air to the face vent, and discharge the rest to a floor vent; a floor mode to discharge more than half of the air to the floor vent; a mixing mode to discharge some of the air to a defrost vent, and discharge the rest to the floor vent; and a DEF mode to discharge more than half of the air to the defrost vent. Moreover, comprised is a defog mode formed between the mixing mode and the DEF mode to set airflow toward a floor vent to be smaller than airflow toward a floor vent in a mixing mode, and to be larger than airflow toward a floor vent in a DEF mode, and to set airflow toward a defrost vent to be larger than airflow toward a defrost vent in a mixing mode, and to be smaller than airflow toward a defrost vent in a DEF mode. Therefore, the present invention has an effect of appropriately responding to the needs to expect improvement of comfort through airflow distribution more uniform than the maximum heating or cooling performance depending on a climatic influence such as European countries by improving comfort of occupants as airflow distribution toward each vent becomes uniform, and the discharged wind is not to be one-sided and but to be evenly distributed inside a vehicle.
|
