PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an artificial heart valve which is not recognized by the body as foreign tissue by removing cellular components from the tissue, and which is not calcified and has a life extended to the utmost extent.SOLUTION: A method for preparing tissue for use for an artificial heart valve is provided which has the steps of, at least, decellularizing the tissue by means of a detergent and subsequently cross-linking the collagen fibers of the tissue by means of a suitable cross-linking agent. In the method, the detergent for decellularization contains at least one lipopeptide having amphiphilic properties, comprising a hydrophilic base structure and a hydrophobic side chain. |
