PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method and a measuring apparatus for an incomplete round bore shape capable of high-accuracy measurement in a short cycle time at measurement and at low costs, using a cam mechanism.SOLUTION: A measuring method for an incomplete round bore shape comprises: a pretension step (step S111) for controlling the torque of a shaft motor 24 constant to apply pretension to a contact needle 14 through a cam 122; and a synchronization control rotation step (step S112) for rotating the cam 122 and a rotation drive mechanism 20 under synchronous control. The measuring method controls the torque of the shaft motor 24 constant with the contact needle 14 in contact with the irregularity on an inner peripheral surface of the incomplete round bore to displace the cam angle &thetas; of the cam 122, and causes the contact needle 14 to make one rotation along the inner peripheral surface of the incomplete round bore to determine the displaced cam angle &thetas; of the cam 122 by a second rotary encoder 241 and a first rotary encoder 252 to thereby measure the incomplete round bore shape. |
