<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an athletic performance monitoring system including GPS data for enhancing various features of workout in addition to a data analysis after workout.SOLUTION: An athletic performance monitoring system includes use of the output from a plurality of sensors for determining the most accurate data usable for providing a measured value of a distance for each segment of a route. Regardless of the source of data, the most accurate data for each route segment is used for providing the distance of the whole route, and as a basis for making other calculations such as pace and calorie consumption. Another feature relates to the ability to input and output a geographically tagged message while moving along a route during athletic performance.</p> |
