METHOD FOR DETERMINING ADDITION AMOUNT OF HYDROGEN SULFIDE INHIBITOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the addition amount of a zinc oxide-containing hydrogen sulfide inhibitor to be added in soil for preventing the generation of hydrogen sulfide in the soil.SOLUTION: A method includes the steps of: extracting a part of soil as a soil sample; measuring the weight X of the soil sample and the weightΔX of organic components in the soil sample; calculating the substantial content ratio A of the organic components actually contained in the soil; setting the weight Y of a part of the soil to be mixed with a hydrogen sulfide inhibitor by agitation after addition of the hydrogen sulfide inhibitor; and determining the addition amountΔY of the hydrogen sulfide inhibitor to have a value of (A*Y*R)/D or more (R: reference value, D: substantial content ratio of zinc oxide actually contained in the hydrogen sulfide inhibitor).
