PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proton conductor having high proton conductivity, capable of operating in an intermediate temperature range of for example 200 to 500°C and having dense structure.SOLUTION: There is provided the proton conductor in which phosphate-based crystal is dispersed in a matrix composed of a glass powder sintered compact and the glass powder contains as a glass composition, by mol%, PO:15 to 80%, AlO:0.1 to 25%, SiO:0 to 60% and RO (R is at least one kind selected from Li, Na, K, Rb and Cs):0 to 35%. |
