an osteoconductive body comprising a first surface configured to be positioned substantially parallel to and abutting a surface of the recipient's skull, a second surface opposing the first surface, and a lateral surface connecting the first and second surfaces, wherein the body is a porous-solid scaffold configured to promote growth of the recipient's skull bone in a manner that interlocks the osteoconductive body with the recipient's skull. |
