<p>The present invention provides an apparatus for managing a small cell and an operation method thereof which can quickly change a frequency bandwidth without changing an E-UTRAN cell global identifier (ECGI) in the case of changing a frequency bandwidth of a small cell, thereby minimizing disconnection phenomena of a communication server caused by change in a frequency bandwidth of a small cell, and reducing quality optimization time. The apparatus for managing a small cell whose frequency bandwidth changes from a first frequency bandwidth to a second frequency bandwidth comprises: a location change checking unit for checking whether a location of a base station forming the small cell changes; and a small cell information control unit for preventing a particular procedure for allocating a new ECGI in the process of changing the frequency bandwidth of the small cell from being performed when the base station location does not change by maintaining the ECGI allocated when the small cell used the first frequency bandwidth as an ECGI to use the second frequency bandwidth.</p> |
