<p>Disclosed are an x-ray imaging apparatus which can reduce the amount of x-ray radiation when angiography or fluorescopy is performed, and a control method thereof. A embodiment of the x-ray imaging apparatus comprises an x-ray source radiating an x-ray to an object; a filtering part located on the front of the x-ray source, and including an opened area in which the x-ray enters; an x-ray detector detecting x-ray radiated to the object and obtaining multiple x-ray images; an image processing part spreading panorama value of a panorama area detected on the present x-ray image among multiple x-ray images, and setting a working area for the present x-ray image based on the result of spread of the panorama value; and a control part controlling the filtering part for the opened area to correspond to the set work area.</p> |
