The present invention relates to a water-saving device for a toilet having a power generator that is installed outside of a general purpose toilet and supplies water to a water tank of the toilet. The device saves water by supplying different quantities of water depending on whether the toilet flushes excrement or urine, and generates power using water pressure from supplying water. The device comprises: a flushing water pipe disposed between a water supply pipe and the water tank of the toilet to form a passage therebetween; an electronic flowmeter disposed on the flushing water pipe to measure an amount of water supplied to the water tank of the toilet; an electronic valve for opening and closing the flushing water pipe; a control unit for controlling the electronic flowmeter and the electronic valve, wherein the control unit comprises an input unit into which a value for an amount of water to be supplied to the water tank is entered, and supplies a fixed amount water to the water tank according to the water amount value; a power generator disposed on the flushing water pipe to rotate an impeller using water pressure in water supplied and thereby generate a driving current; and a power supply having a battery for storing the driving current; wherein the control unit operates the electronic valve and the electronic flowmeter using the generated driving current. |
