The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device which is lightweight, thin, and has a high brightness. According to the present invention, the liquid crystal display device includes: a liquid crystal panel; a light guide plate; a light source which is arranged on at least one side surface of the light guide plate; and a backlight unit including an optical sheet provided on the light guiding panel and having multiple reverse prism patterns. Multiple second guide patterns having lens-shaped cross-sections are arranged on the entire front surface of the light guide plate. Multiple light-scattering patterns are arranged in the light incidence area of the front surface of the light guide plate adjacent to the light source and overlap the second light guide patterns. |
