PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit error information without delay while increasing communication data amount in a communication device communicating between a loading port and a carriage.SOLUTION: A communication device 10 includes: a parallel interface 11 for communicating with a loading port 20; a network communication unit 14 for communicating with a carriage 30 through a network; and a control unit 13 for controlling the parallel interface 11 and the network communication unit 14. In an interlock sequence for transferring between the loading port 20 and the carriage 30 an object to be carried, the control unit 13 sets a predetermined standby time during a period from the input of a signal of the loading port 20 to the transmission of a packet to the carriage 30. The predetermined standby time is changed according to the existence or non-existence of an error.
