PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid residence device and an oil separator which can prevent splash of liquid from attaching to a sensor, when the level of the liquid is below the sensor in a drain tank.SOLUTION: An oil separator 60 includes a drain tank 61 in which oil separated from CNG accumulates, a sensor 70 which detects a vertical position of a liquid level in the drain tank 61, and a flange part 83 provided in a vertical position in a drain tank 61 between the sensor 70 and a bottom wall 612 of the drain tank 61.
