PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault diagnosis device of an internal combustion engine which can suppress an erroneous diagnosis by improving the accuracy of a fault diagnosis of the internal combustion engine, and a fault diagnosis method of the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: When it is determined that a detection value ECT and a detection value RCT are stabilized during a stop of an engine 20, a learning part 201 learns a difference between the detection value ECT and the detection value RCT. A diagnosis part 202 diagnoses a fault of the engine 20 on the basis of the corrected difference between the detection value ECT and the detection value RCT by using a learning value which is learnt by the learning part. |
