METHOD FOR PROVIDING TAX REFUND SERVICE OF A FOREIGNER IN DOWNTOWN

The present invention relates to a method to provide refund services more conveniently in downtown areas for foreign visitors. In accordance with the invention, foreign tourists can process tax refunds in downtown locations, get funds upon departure at airports or ports with a simple procedure. The invention consists of the following steps: a first step of collecting and store data related to purchase of products through a merchant′s terminal installed in a duty free shop; a second step of receiving refund application information including credit card deposit information from an integrated automation machine in a downtown location, transmitting the data to a corresponding credit card company server, receiving credit card deposit processing results from the server in response, transmitting the refund data to the integrated automation machine and the Korea Customs Service server after mapping the refund information in regards to the downtown refund request and processing credit card deposit, and making refund possible through the integrated automation machine; a third step of receiving passport information, by the departure location terminal in non-duty-free area, making a passport information check request, and confirming withdrawal of funds by receiving refund processing information from the Korea Customs Service server. In this way foreign visitors can get convenient tax refund services without having to wait in line at the crowded departure gate.
