Embodiments of the present invention relate to charging of a battery. A method for calculating available capacity of a vehicle battery comprises the steps of: receiving request information for requesting a calculation for available residual capacity of a battery; calculating relative completed charging capacity of the battery; calculating energy reserving capacity of the battery; calculating a relative charging state of the battery from the calculated relative completed charging capacity and energy reserving capacity; and calculating a relative charging state of a vehicle from the calculated relative charging state and available battery capacity. |
