PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system for managing the use of a processor.SOLUTION: An authentication system for managing the use of a processor by authentication using a terminal device 170 includes: position storage means 118 for storing position information of a processor; reception means 112 for receiving user information indicating the terminal device 170 to be used for authentication in the case of executing processing from a request source 130 of the processing; determination means 120 for determining a distance on the basis of position information of the terminal device 170 received from the terminal device 170 and the position information of the processor; and authentication means 122 for, when the distance satisfies proximity determination conditions for determining a proximity state, performing authentication processing on the basis of the user information received from the request source 130 of the processing and the user information received from the terminal device 170 satisfying the proximity determination conditions.
