<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire sensor such as a photoelectric smoke sensor and a combined type sensor unlikely to cause malfunction due to electromagnetic waves. <P>SOLUTION: The fire sensor includes a housing comprising a body base (11), and a body case (12) covering the entire upper side of the body base. The housing stores, in its inside: a dark box (14 and 16) in which a light receiving element (18) that includes a lens part (18b) on a side face and a lead terminal (18c) at the lower part is disposed; and a circuit board (13) to which the light receiving element is connected. The light receiving element is disposed in the dark box in the state that it is stored in a shield case (19) made of a conductor. The shield case includes a cylindrical case body (19b) at least whose lower end is opened and in which the body of the light receiving element can be stored.
