PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for detection of a Zebra Crossing in an image. ! SOLUTION: A detection device includes: a first calculation unit that calculates, on the basis of an edge feature of a detected image, a visual feature of the image, wherein the visual feature includes a chroma feature, an interval feature, and a luminance difference feature; and a first processing unit that determines whether a Zebra Crossing is present in the image or not on the basis of a statistical result on the visual feature calculated by the first calculation unit. !
