PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorization method capable of suppressing a malodor emitted from a porous malodor emission part of a public toilet and the like. ! SOLUTION: A seal 4 between a porous urinal 3 and a floor surface 10, and a tile 11 on the floor surface 10 generate ammonia due to scattering of urine to be turned into a malodor generation part. Thus, a photocatalyst is sprayed on a scattering part, and photoirradiation is subsequently applied to the sprayed part to activate the photocatalyst and accelerate decomposition of an organic pollutant. Finally, cleaning is performed by using cleaning water into which a peroxide is mixed. Consequently, urea-splitting bacteria and the like on a surface of a porous part are inactivated. !
