PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that can smoothly, efficiently and accurately separate two plates laminated via a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet such that the plates are subjected to substantially no force (load) causing a large strain (deformation) leading to breakage or cracking. ! SOLUTION: The method of separating plates according to the present invention is a method of separating two plates laminated via a double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, comprising placing a cutting tool having a cutting edge angle of 25° or less and a thickness of 20 mm or less, on a side of a structure composed of a double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet and two plates, between the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet and a plate, and applying force in a normal direction of the plate. !
