The present invention relates to a large area organic light emitting diode display device. The organic light emitting diode display device according to the present invention includes: a substrate which includes a display region on which a plurality of pixel regions arranged in a matrix type are defined and a non-display region which is arranged around the display region; a thin film transistor which is formed on each pixel region; an auxiliary cathode electrode which is formed on the same layer as a part of elements of the thin film transistor; a planarization layer which covers the thin film transistor and the auxiliary cathode electrode; an anode electrode which is connected to the thin film transistor on the planarization layer and is formed on each pixel region; an organic light emitting layer which is stacked on the anode electrode; a cathode electrode which faces the anode electrode on the organic light emitting layer and covers the whole display region; and a protection electrode which covers the auxiliary cathode electrode exposed through a cathode contact hole which is formed on the planarization layer, and is in contact with the cathode electrode.
