Disclosed are a method for providing a position-based service and an apparatus for performing the same, which can improve the quality of the position-based service. The method includes: a step of receiving position data; a step of generating a frame including the received position data; and a step of transmitting the generated frame. Therefore, the present invention can improve the accuracy of the position-based system by using the latest GPS information.
