[Class 20 (iii)] A serrated metal strip 3 engages a slot in a beading 1 of sponge rubber ; both being enclosed 'in fabric, leathercloth or the like 5. Stitching 8 passes through both fabric and metal adjacent to the beading ; a second row may be inserted near the edge. An adhesive may be used. The metal may be copper, aluminium, zinc or brass of about 0.01 inch thickness.
