<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for adjusting an angle of an armrest excellent in safety and strength, capable of facilitating weight saving and the thinning, and also keeping the manufacturing cost low.SOLUTION: A mechanism 10 for adjusting an angle of an armrest includes: an internal tooth member 12; an external tooth member 13 swingably attached at a position shifted from a rotation center C; an arm side fixing member; and an external tooth energizing member 15. An arm member has, in a built-in manner: a retracting cam mechanism 12c for, when the arm member rotating upward from a lower limit position exceeds an angle adjustment possible section, retracting the external tooth member 13 to a retracting position where external teeth 13a and internal teeth 12a do not engage with each other; returning cam mechanisms 12f, 13f for, when the arm member rotating downward reaches the lower limit position, returning the external tooth member 13 to an engaging position where the external teeth 13a and the internal teeth 12a engage with each other; and an upper limit stopper mechanism 12d and lower limit stopper mechanisms 12e, 13e of the arm member.</p> |
