<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear which is suppressed in shape changes of tooth faces caused by processing applied on the tooth faces.SOLUTION: In a gear 1 which is applied with processing for smoothening tooth faces 2 of teeth which are engaged with each other while imparting loads to each other, the tooth faces 2 are formed so that surface roughness Ra gradually becomes rough toward tooth tip sides and tooth depth sides of the tooth faces 2 from a contact line cb including portions ML in the tooth faces 2 at which the loads generated by the engagement of the teeth become maximum. That is, processing for reducing the surface roughness is mainly applied to the contact line cb sides at the tooth faces. By this constitution, friction coefficientsμat the contact line cb sides at the tooth faces become small. Therefore, a friction loss W at the transmission of power by the gear can be reduced, and the deformation of the tooth faces can be suppressed compared with the case that the processing is applied to the entire tooth faces.</p> |
