PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of erroneous connection of a network cable.SOLUTION: A network switch includes: a plurality of ports; a detection unit for detecting a second end part of a cable having a first end part connected to a first port of the plurality of ports having been connected to a port of another network switch; a transmission unit for transmitting identification information on a port to be connected to the second end part and identification information on a network switch having a port to be connected to the second end part, to the other network switch through the cable, when the detection unit detects the second end part having been connected to the port of the other network switch; and a control unit for making at least a light emitting unit of the second end part emit light in a first light-emitting mode when receiving a notification showing that the connection is erroneous from the other network switch through the cable.
