PRODUCTION METHOD FOR HYDROPHOBIC SILICA AEROGEL

摘要

The present invention provides: a production method for hydrophobic silica aerogel using Soxhlet extraction; and a hydrophobic silica aerogel produced by using the production method. When the production method according to the present invention is used, not only is it possible to simultaneously clean and dry a hydrophobic silica wet gel but it is also possible to effect solvent substitution in parallel and it is possible to easily produce a hydrophobic silica aerogel which has a low tap density and a high specific surface area by eliminating the extraction solvent without any additional separation process.
