PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition that exhibits good fixability of an ink (pigment) to a recording medium, can suppress generation of foreign substances in the ink, and is improved in storage stability of the ink and reliability related to discharge stability from a nozzle head or prevention of clogging.SOLUTION: The ink composition comprises water, a pigment, a resin emulsion, and a water-soluble clathrate compound, in which a ratio (water-soluble clathrate compound/resin emulsion (solid content)) of the content of the water-soluble clathrate compound to the content of the resin emulsion (solid content) is 0.01 or more and 5 or less on a mass basis. |
