PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide image processing device and method that can suppress occurrence of moire while suppressing reduction fo resolution and color bleeding.SOLUTION: An oblique moire index value detector 13 detects an oblique moire index value representing the degree of occurrence of moire in an oblique direction, and outputs the oblique moire index value to a mixture processor 41. A horizontal and vertical moire index value detector 14 detects a horizontal and vertical moire index value representing the degree of occurrence of moire in horizontal and vertical directions on the basis of correlation values in the horizontal and vertical directions which are supplied from an HV correlation detector 65, and outputs the horizontal and vertical moire index value to a mixture processor 42. The mixture processor 41 mixes an oblique moire cancel image signal and an input image signal on the basis of the oblique more index value by oblique LPF 31. The mixture processor 42 mixes an HV moire cancel image signal and an image signal output from the mixture processor 41 on the basis of the horizontal and vertical moire index value by HVLPF 32. This technique may be applied to an imaging device. |
