摘要 The present invention relates to an apparatus for detecting direction-finding ambiguity of a phase comparison detection apparatus, capable of detecting whether direction-finding ambiguity is generated in a direction finding device by comparing phases, and to a method thereof. The apparatus for detecting direction-finding ambiguity of a phase comparison detection apparatus comprises: an antenna unit including at least three antennas, arranged at regular intervals, and detecting phases of a wireless signal received from each of the antennas; a phase difference calculating unit which selects, from the antenna unit, at least two groups of two phases, different with each other, of which the phased difference is calculated and outputs at least one phase difference set including the calculated two phase differences each; an arrival angle estimating unit estimating an arrival angel of a wireless signal/ corresponding to the at least one phase-difference group/ from at least one look-up table, including information on arrange intervals between the at least two antennas and pre-calculated arrival angles of the wireless signals corresponding to the phase difference of the phases detected from the antennas corresponding to each of the arrangement intervals; and a direction-finding ambiguity detecting unit detecting whether the direction-finding ambiguity is generated or not using at least one of the estimated arrival angle.
