A FRANCIS HYDRAULIC TURBINE WITH CROSS BLADE TYPE RUNNER

The present invention provides a Francis turbine using a cross blade runner with a blade to enable the turbine to efficiently convert energy wherein the turbine generates electricity when potential energy of water caused by a water height difference is converted into kinetic energy. An outer side of the Francis turbine is smaller than an inner side of the Francis turbine. An upper side and a lower side form a downwardly inclined curve from the direction of the outer side to the direction of the inner side, wherein the upper side and the lower side connect the outer side with the inner side. The radius of curvature of the upper side is smaller than the radius of curvature of the lower side. The angle between a portion where the outer side comes in contact with the upper side and a portion where the outer side comes in contact with the lower side is larger than the angle between a portion where the inner side of the blade comes in contact with the upper side and a portion where the inner side comes in contact with the lower side.
