PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device constituted by considering the contact of a hand on a flexible member connected to a carriage when removing a recording object medium stuck in a path.SOLUTION: The recording device (2) includes: a transport means 16; a feed path 23; a case 3; a carriage 26 arranged at the downstream side in a feed direction in recording relative to the transport means, and moving in the width direction X; an opening (4) formed at the downstream side in the feed direction in recording relative to the carriage in the case in order to remove a stuck recording object medium from the feed path in the case when the recording object medium is stuck in the feed path; and a protective member 32 for protecting flexible members (29, 30) connected to the carriage where the protective member 32 has a shape 32d in accordance with a range B in which the flexible members (29, 30) move accompanied by the movement of the carriage, and the shape 32d is formed between the opening (4) and the feed path 23. |
