<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of being assembled readily at low cost, and a method for assembling the connector. <P>SOLUTION: A connector comprises: a connection portion arranged at one end of a contact; a contact portion arranged at the other end of the contact; and a narrow displacement-absorbing bent portion which is integrally formed with and arranged between the connection and contact portions so as to couple the connection and contact portions. Assembly of the connector to a printed circuit board includes: a first step for connecting the contact portion at the contact of the connector to the printed circuit board; a second step for fitting a housing of a main unit to the connector, having been connected at the first step; a third step for positioning the housing of the main unit, having been fitted at the second step, by deforming the integrally formed narrow displacement-absorbing bent portion which couples the contact and the connection portion; and a step for adhering the housing of the main unit, having been positioned at the third step, to the printed circuit board. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
