摘要 A control circuit 200 for a multiphase motor with at least three windings 204, 205, 206, has controlled switches comprising transistors (which may be MOSFETs) in low-side implementation 213, 214, 215 and in high-side implementation 210, 211, 212 for driving each winding 204, 205, 206. One current sensor 202 is in ground-side implementation and one current sensor 201 is in live-side implementation, for measuring the current through the windings 204, 205, 206. The current sensors 201, 202 may be shunt resistors. Freewheel diodes 220 to 225 may be provided. The motor may be a switched reluctance motor (SRM). Advantageously, only two current sensors 201, 202 are needed for controlling a multiphase motor with three or more windings 204, 205, 206 and torque ripple control may thereby be improved. A control method is also presented.
