Support arrangement of an electric machine

The electric machine comprises a rotor and a stator (200). The stator (200) comprises a cylindrical stator core (210) and a stator frame (220) surrounding the stator core (210). The stator frame (220) comprises two opposite end constructions (221, 222). The arrangement comprises support elements (400A, 400B) being located symmetrically on opposite sides of the vertical centre plane (V1-V1) between the end constructions (221, 222) of the stator frame (220). The support elements (400A, 400B) are made of cast iron and they are attached to the end constructions (221, 222) of the stator frame (220) and to a support structure (500) of the electric machine with fastening means based on a compression joint.
