A viewer engagement estimating system includes a physical data analyzing unit that analyzes physical data obtained by a sensor included in a mobile terminal of a viewer of a TV program to determine a condition of the physical data; an application data analyzing unit that analyzes user application data handled by the viewer of the TV program through the mobile terminal while the TV program is being broadcasted to determine a condition of user application data; and a viewer engagement estimating unit that estimates a level of engagement with the TV program of the viewer based on the conditions of the physical data and the user application data analyzed by the physical data analyzing unit and the application data analyzing unit, respectively.
