PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixed catalyst for gas-phase catalytic oxidation or gas-phase catalytic ammoxidation reaction of propane or isobutane, wherein it is possible to obtain, from propane or isobutane and at a high yield, unsaturated acid or unsaturated nitrile, respectively.SOLUTION: The mixed catalyst for gas-phase catalytic oxidation or gas-phase catalytic ammoxidation reaction of propane or isobutane contains a composite oxide represented by compositional formula (1) and a tungsten compound at a ratio represented by formula (2). The compositional formula (1) is MoVNbSbWZO. (In formula (1), Z represents at least one element selected from among La, Ce, Pr, Yb, Y, Sc, Sr, and Ba; a, b, c, d, e, and n represent the atom ratio of each element per 1 atom of Mo such that a is 0.01≤a≤1, b is 0.01≤b≤1, c is 0.01≤c≤1, d is 0.001≤d≤1, e is 0≤e≤1, and n is a number that is determined by means of the atomic valence of the constituent metal). Formula (2) is 0.001<w<0.3. (In formula (2), w represents the atom ratio of tungsten within the tungsten compound as the atom ratio per 1 atom of Mo in the composite oxide). |
