<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmitter capable of achieving expansion of transmission capacity and enhancement of reception tolerance simultaneously in the same transmission signal. <P>SOLUTION: A data transmitter 100 transmitting data from N (N is an integer of more than 1) transmission antennas 101, 102 comprises: an STC encoding unit 103 generating N STC signals by principally performing space-time encoding of a transmission signal for mobile reception; N multiplexers 104, 105 principally compounding N SDM signals for fixed reception subjected to space division multiplexing and N STC signals from the STC encoding unit 103; and N OFDM modulation units 106, 107 that modulate the composite signals from the N multiplexers 104, 105 to OFDM signals, respectively.
