Pyrimidine compounds inhibiting formation of nitrogen monoxide and prostaglandin E2, process for their preparation and use

In the present invention, there are disclosed pyrimidine compounds that reduce production of nitrogen monoxide and at the same time prostaglandin PGE2, which, in concentrations, which reduce production of these factors by 50 percent, do not have negative affect to cell viability; are not cytotoxic. There is also disclosed a pharmaceutical composition containing such pyrimidine compounds and their use for the treatment of diseases induced by excessive production NO and/or prostaglandin E2 or when the severity of the disease is amplified by the overproduction of NO and/or prostaglandin E2.
