The method, for a building with multiple first walls A,B,C with window apertures 14a,14b and a plain second wall D, involves: forming a pair of opposing holes 18 into the cavity at a low level 20a on the first walls, and at a mid level 20b and a high level 20c on both walls; injecting an insulating material into the cavities in the following order, moving around the building: i) low-level in each first wall and mid-level in each second wall; ii) mid-level in the first walls; iii) high-level in both walls. Preferably, the high-level of both walls is below the ceiling line 24 of the building; the first walls low-level is formed below the ground floor windows and the mid-level is formed between ground and first floor windows; the second walls low-level is less than 2m from the ground and the mid-level is between the high and low-levels of the first wall. Preferably, the openings are made through the side of an adjacent wall of the building, or at an acute angle in the face of the wall, so that material is injected along the cavity. |
