PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the photoelectric conversion efficiency of a dye-sensitized solar battery by increasing the light absorption by pigment not only in a visible region but also in a near-infrared region.
SOLUTION: The dye-sensitized solar battery comprises: a cathode electrode having a transparent conductive film formed on an inner face of one transparent substrate, and coated with platinum or carbon; and an anode electrode having a transparent conductive film and a porous metal oxide film of titanium oxide or the like, which are formed on an inner face of the other transparent substrate in turn, and holding a pigment such as a ruthenium complex on a surface of the porous metal oxide film; and an oxidation-reduction electrolyte. The cathode and anode electrodes are opposed to each other with the oxidation-reduction electrolyte interposed therebetween. The dye-sensitized solar battery is arranged so that a voltage is developed between the electrodes as a result of light absorption. At least one kind of microparticle selected from a ruthenium oxide microparticle and a titanium nitride microparticle is disposed near the pigment.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
|
