The present invention relates to a method for providing information to a head unit of a vehicle by using a template-based user interface (UI). According to the present invention, a method for constituting a UI comprises the following steps: (a) obtaining, through a head unit, information about a plurality of applications belonging to a particular category from an internal application included in the head unit and an external application stored in a mobile terminal device connected with the head unit, when a template of the head unit for performing an application included in the particular category is operated; (b) obtaining, through the head unit, information about an available application for supporting corresponding detailed functions by detailed functions from the obtained applications with reference to information about the detailed functions included in an application belonging to the particular category; and (c) making the head unit to display a list for the available application by the detailed functions through the template. According to the present invention, customized navigation information is provided, so an optimal service can be provided according to a using purpose of a navigation during driving. |
