<p>A door stop constructed from bent sheet metal comprises an L-shaped strip of metal having a first arm and a second arm 104. The end of the first arm is bent substantially at a right angle to the first arm and is substantially parallel to the second arm and forms a stop surface 108 upon which a stopper 106, which may be rubber, is fixed. The end of the second arm is bent substantially at a right angle to the second arm and is substantially parallel to the first arm and forms a mounting surface 112 to mount the door stop on a wall adjacent the door; a strengthening rib and mounting holes also being provided. The bent doorstop enables the doorstop to be mounted on an adjacent wall parallel with the closed door such as a patio door and prevents the door from opening greater than 90 degrees.</p> |
