Provided is an electronic device which, when a user made self-help efforts to solve a problem using a help screen, a guide screen, or the like but still cannot solve the problem, generates a menu image for encouraging connection to an operator. As an example of an electronic device, a television device (10) is configured to be able to receive an operation from an operator via a network and comprises a GUI generation unit (15) for generating a guide image for a user when the user is in trouble with an operation. The GUI generation unit (15) first generates, as an operation guide image for the user, a first guide image not including guide information relating to connection to the operator, and generates a second guide image including the guide information relating to connection to the operator provided that the user once performed a predetermined operation by which the user is considered to have made self-help efforts to solve a problem using a help screen, a guide screen, or the like. |
