摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid propulsion system for ships, which prevents unnecessary regenerative braking even when the actual rotational speed of a motor for a propulsion device for driving an electric propulsion propeller is higher than the target value due to disturbance during the normal navigation of the ship. <P>SOLUTION: The hybrid propulsion system for ships is provided with an inverter control circuit 6C that causes a motor 7 for a propulsion system to perform power running operation when the polarity of speed deviation between a rotational speed command ns and an actual rotational speed NR is positive, and causes the motor for the propulsion system to perform regenerative operation when the polarity of thee speed deviation is negative. When a rotational speed setting unit 10 outputs a command for deceleration or reverse operation, the gate signal for setting regenerative torque to a predetermined limit value is output to a switching element of an inverter main circuit.
